Vicke Davis works in the Dining Hall at Arizona State University's Barrett Honor College dining hall. She is popular with the students for the extra attention she gives them. Students say she remembers their names, year in college and asks how they are doing. She treats them like family. ASU student Quintin Woods asked Davis where her dream vacation destination is and she immediately responded the Northern Lights. Woods took to GoFundMe to raise money for the trip and it met the goal in just two days. Davis received $2,350 to see the Northern Lights in Canada and a camera to document her trip. Hannah Houts filmed the touching video of Davis receiving this amazing gift. About 100 students came to surprise Davis with the check for her dream vacation.

A deadly fire swept through a popular nightclub in southern Brazil, killing at least 233 people, according to CNN- and the death toll is expected to rise as firefighters continue to pull bodies from the Kiss nightclub in Santa Maria. At least 57 people were injured at around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday morning when a ferry crashed into a dock at a pier in Lower Manhattan, New York. According to CNN, one person is in critical condition and is being treated at a nearby hospital. "People were thrown into the air and onto the ground," passenger Elizabeth Banta told CNN. "There were definitely many people on the ground who were not moving." The Seastreak ferry transports commuters from New Jersey to Pier 11 near Wall Street.
